What DataKlin does

DataKlin covers PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB, SQLite and Apache Cassandra end to end: connect, explore, run queries and read the results.

  • Supported databases

    Connect to PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB, SQLite and Apache Cassandra, including Amazon Aurora and Amazon RDS with AWS IAM authentication. Each has its own connector, with a connection form that fits it.

    Versions and limits for each database

  • Database explorer

    Browse schemas, tables, views and their columns in a tree that loads as you expand it, so large databases stay quick to navigate.

  • Query console

    Run the statement under your cursor with one shortcut. Cancel stops a slow query on the server, and your session stays usable.

  • Results grid

    Scroll through 100,000 rows and more. The grid is virtualised: it draws only the rows on screen and fetches more as you scroll.

  • Secure connections

    New PostgreSQL and MySQL connections to remote servers use verified TLS. Saved passwords are encrypted by your operating system where available: the Keychain on macOS, DPAPI on Windows, a keyring on Linux.

    How secret storage works

  • Extension platform

    Every database, the built-in ones included, is an extension on a versioned API. Extensions run in their own process, so a crash shows an error on that connection and the app stays responsive.

Redis and Elasticsearch are planned.
